A Greeting From Our Pastor
Greetings! And welcome to St. Gerard’s. We are delighted to have you with us! And we thank you for taking the time to read more about our parish life.
St. Gerard's has an inspiring history of welcoming people who have suffered rejection elsewhere. African-Americans, Mexican-Americans and other Latinos, Africans, and sons and daughters of European lands all make up part of our parish family. We speak English, Spanish, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, and sometimes Swahili together at our Masses.
Our faith in Christ unites us, as we make our pilgrim way together. Hopefully you will find the information here on our website helpful. Father Matt Kiehl, Father Jose Moran, and myself, our staff, and all our parish volunteers, stand ready to help in any way we can.
We hear Confessions from 6:15-7:00pm on Wednesday evenings, in the confessional in the church, near the Blessed Sacrament chapel. Or call for an appointment.
We have entered into an exciting new phase of our history as a parish. In the fall of 2016, we will celebrate our 70th anniversary, and we will begin a major building project to restore the church building to its original beauty.
Praised be the Lord Jesus Christ! For bringing us together, and for giving us a share in His divine love, through the sacraments of His Church.
Yours in Christ, Father Mark White, pastor
